mlton-basis software package provides Optimizing compiler for Standard ML - basis library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mlton-basis
mlton-basis is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mlton-basis package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mlton-basis *
You will get with mlton-basis package name, version, architecture and description in a table
